No cookies here

What this site stores on your device, which is very little, and why.

cookies set by this site. No analytics, no advertising or tracking tools, and nothing loaded from other websites. That is why there is no cookie banner to click through.

The one thing we do keep

If you reach us from one of our adverts, the web address carries a reference to that advert. We keep it in your browser’s session storage for as long as the tab is open, and pass it on to the quote form if you ask for a quote. Session storage is not a cookie: it is never sent to our server with each page, it stays in the one tab, and your browser deletes it when you close that tab.

Name Type What it is for How long

iac_attr Session storage Advert attribution Only saved if you arrive from one of our adverts. Holds the advert references from the web address (gclid, utm_cpid, utm_keyword) and adds them to the quote form address if you ask for a quote, so we know which advert brought you. No name or contact details. Until you close the tab

If you did not arrive from an advert, nothing is stored at all. If we ever add analytics or cookies, they will appear in this table and stay switched off until you agree to them.

The quote form

The quote form is on My Car Import’s website, not this one, and has its own cookie policy. Our privacy notice explains more.

Clearing it yourself

Closing the tab removes it. You can also clear site data in your browser settings at any time, and the site works exactly the same without it.
